Admissions Health Forms {PDF}:
Our admissions process begins on November 1st for the following school year. We invite parents to visit the school without their children. We encourage parents to call and set up an appointment in late September and early October. Tours of our program occur throughout the months of November and December for our Pre-Class I (young 3's) & Class I (3 to 4) programs. Class II and Class III (4 to 6) children would tour in January and February. Parents receive an information packet about the program they are considering for their child, and an application at the time of their visit. During the visit, parents will observe classrooms and meet with someone who will answer any questions they may have about the program. Parents should plan to visit without their child. Families seeking scholarship assistance should request a form at the time of their visit. This information should be returned with your application. Parents wishing to apply may leave the application at the time of their visit or send it back with the application fee ($50.00) by mid-December for Pre-Class I and Class I. Applications for Class II and Class III are due by the end of February with the application fee ($50.00). Each year the number of spaces available varies. We have a sibling policy, therefore families with children who have previously attended our program have first priority. The admissions committee meets to review Pre-Class I and Class I applications in late December and early January. Class II and Class III are reviewed in early March. Decisions to accept new families and children are based on a variety of factors; we look for a balance of boys and girls, range of birthdays, and diversity. Diversity includes race, cultural backgrounds, socio-economic status, different demographic communities, etc. Parents receive a letter of acceptance for the upcoming school year or a waitlist letter in January for Pre-Class I & Class I and in March for Class II & Class III. Parents accepting spaces will be asked to send back a contract with a $750.00 deposit to hold a space. Parents receiving waitlist letters should return the waitlist postcard as soon as possible, if they wish to remain on the active waitlist. If spaces become available, parents will be notified by telephone. The waitlist becomes most active two weeks after the original letters are mailed and again in the summer. |
