Our Philosophy: A Letter to Parents

Dear Parents,

From time to time parents have questions about our goals in preparing their child for her next school. This is a time of year when there is often a high level of anxiety about school interview results, feedback, and acceptance. We want to make sure that as a school we are teaching what we believe and value, based on our more than four decades of experience, and the most up-to-date early education research. We would like to outline the recent thinking in early education about what 3-6 year-olds need, what Apple Orchard aims to teach your child, and to address the understandable tension parents get caught in during the application process to elementary schools.
